How to erase: windows 10
-
Go into Settings
-
In the search bar type “Reset This PC”
-
Press the “Get Started” button
-
Select “Remove Everything”
-
Select “Local Reinstall”
-
Select “Remove files and clean the drive”
-
Select the “Reset” button to erase
HOW TO ERASE: APPLE OSX
-
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Apple ID. Click iCloud in the sidebar, then deselect Find My Mac
-
Restart your computer: hold the power button > select Restart when it appears
-
While the computer restarts, hold down the ‘Command‘ and ‘R‘ keys
-
Once you see the Apple logo appear, release the ‘Command and R keys’
-
When you see a Recovery Mode menu, select Disk Utility
-
Make sure the ‘Macintosh HD’ startup disk is highlighted in your Disk Utility window > select Erase
-
A pop-up window should appear.
-
Change the Format to macOS Extended (Journaled) > select Erase again
-
Select Quit Disk Utility in the Disk Utilities menu.
-
A window will then appear giving you the option to reinstall macOS > select Install macOS
HOW TO ERASE: APPLE IOS
-
Connect to internet/WIFI
-
Go to Settings > General > Reset
-
Select ‘Erase all content and settings‘ and enter your password
-
Select ‘Erase iPhone‘ (or iPad) and type your Apple ID password
-
Your iPhone or iPad will factory reset and restart
HOW TO ERASE: ANDROID
-
Open Settings, and select System.
-
Select Reset options.
-
Select Erase all data (factory reset).
-
Select Reset Phone or Reset Tablet at the bottom.
-
You'll be asked to confirm, select Erase Everything.
-
Your device should reboot and may show a progress screen indicating that it is erasing the data
-
After it finishes deleting the data on the device, the operating system will restart again and will arrive at a screen similar to the one when you first unpacked it from the box
